I have a really hard time holding back, because I still look at my writing from such a reader’s perspective. So just like any reader, I’m impatient and want to get on with it already!! Really hard to hold Lizzy in check sometimes (obviously), but it is so worth it when I can, so I’m slowly learning I’spose.

I get impatient too and it’s usually James who says, hold on, not yet. I really can’t say exactly how much to give and how much to hold back, it’s all a feeling, maybe just giving a piece or two at a time.

You and James certainly are masters of suspense. *sigh* We haven’t got a chance against you two.

So when attempting to create suspense, how do you know just how much to give the reader? I always get impatient and give *too* much… so I’m not sure how to find the right balance between too much and too little.

Hey Marc, looks like I missed a myth. And how could I forget that one since Bram’s story is a favorite of mine.

In our game running water has no effect at all on vampires. Can you think of any others?

He will have nightmares and long periods of missing time. She’ll start doing things that normal people don’t usually do. His personality might become more animalistic as instinct overrides reason. Emotional levels run high and it doesn’t take much to set off an argument or a fight.

Sounds a lot like something I deal with about every twenty-eight days or so, and that I can handle.

Although you may create other characters that go through a First Change, your first character’s change will always be special. Make it rock.

Sort of a birds and bees speech for role playing werewolves! Your first time should be special and shared with someone you love… unless they can’t handle you trying to tear them to shreds.
