The new names that appeared on Steam’s popular games ranking last weekend all belong to the shooter series. Splitgate and Back 4 Blood have entered the top 10 games on Valve’s platform.
This is quite a predictable outcome for Back 4 Blood, Turtle Rock’s long-awaited title and successor to Left 4 Dead. And Splitgate is a free shooting game that is gaining attention of late. Splitgate is a competitive shooter that revolves around moving around, taking advantage of space portals to appear behind enemies, and quickly overcoming obstacles.

Splitgate also set the record for the highest number of co-players online with almost 68,000, an incredible record for a game that is two years old. Before July, Splitgate’s record for the number of online players was 11,000, much less than now.
Users who pre-ordered Back 4 Blood can now experience the beta version. The cooperative zombie shooter hit nearly 100,000 players last Friday and had a player base of between 30,000 and 90,000 over the two weekends.
