A Unique Dating Game Teaches Players About... Life Insurance

わたしは保険に入らない! (roughly translated as I don’t have insurance) is a new anime dating simulation game released in late June. The game is published by a Japanese insurance company. One to Ten Co., a member of MS&AD Insurance Group and Mitsui Sumitomo Aioi Life Insurance Company.

If the fact that the life insurance company released a dating sim game wasn’t weird enough, the “I don’t have insurance” game! even more “unique”. In the game, the player’s goal is NOT to buy life insurance, despite the protagonist’s invitations. The character to be conquered in the game is called an “insurance idol” and, like many other dating sims, he is a handsome guy.

In “I Don’t Have Insurance!”, the player plays the role of a young man who feels that he doesn’t need to buy life insurance. Players must avoid falling for the insurance idol and not spend money on his insurance. Also, players can learn a lot about different types of insurance from the “insurance idol” while the guy tries his best to convince them to buy life insurance.

Players who excel in insurance tests will unlock a special video when they progress to the final chapter and complete the game. The insurance idol is played by Tomikazu Sugita, the voice actor behind characters like Gintoki Sakata (Gintama) and Gyoumei Himejima (Demon Slayer). Sugita is an actor with a charming voice in Japan. “I’m not insured!” The Japanese version is now available for Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS.
