The PlayStation Showcase event held by Sony recently brought a lot of new information about popular games in development, including Square Enix’s Forspoken, a game known as Project Athia. The new trailer for the game will take players to the beautiful mystical world of Athia, where the adventures of the protagonist Frey Holland take place.
The trailer opens with Frey Holland in the real world, who now longs to go far and find a better place for herself. The turning point comes when she finds a strange bracelet and is transported to Athia’s world, where she must use her powers to survive the many dangers that are ready to strike at any moment.
Forspoken’s plot was penned by Gary Whitta, the screenwriter of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the movie that many Star Wars fans called the best of the entire series. In addition, Whitta also has a lot of experience with video games, he has participated in the scripting of many games such as Gears of War or Prey.

Forspoken is scheduled to release in Spring 2022 on PS5 and PC. Early next year is sure to be an exciting time for PS5 players with the arrival of Horizon Forbidden West from Forspoken and Guerrilla Games.
