Microsoft’s Studio World’s Edge has announced Age of Mythology Retold, a remake of the strategy game that was first released in 2002. The developer said, “Definitive Edition delights will make Age of Mythology available with good graphics, gameplay updated and many more improvements”.
A World’s Edge representative shared, “We know the Age of Mythology community has been waiting and waiting for the Definitive Edition and we will be bringing it to the fans. The staff are hard at work bringing the soul of the original game to life with graphics, features, and Please stay tuned for the latest news on this project.”
Age of Mythology is a spin-off of the Age of Empires series. The game is inspired by the myths and legends of the Greeks, Egyptians and Nordics. Age of Mythology Retold was announced during the Age of Empires 25th Anniversary livestream.
In addition to Mythology, Microsoft also announced that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV will be available on Xbox and xCloud in 2023.
