In July of this year, Pearl Abyss invested in VIC Game Studios, a Korean startup developing the mysterious project B. This mysterious project is Black Clover Mobile, a game based on Tabata Yūki’s popular manga and anime series. VIC Game Studios has previous experience producing projects with anime content, as the company was founded by Choi Jae-Young, the lead developer behind The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, the hit mobile RPG in the Netmarble series. .
Black Clover Mobile will likely launch in Japan first under Pearl Abyss Japan. VIC Game Studios also confirmed that they are working on an international version of the game, which will be released in 2022, and that the English logo is already finalized. Developer Black Desert has invested in several ventures in 2021, and fans will be able to see Pearl Abyss reap the rewards of their investment starting in 2022.
