Naraka: Bladepoint was first released on PC in August 2021, and was ported to Xbox 10 months later. The melee-focused battle royale title from Netease and 24 Entertainment is finally coming to PlayStation 5 on July 13. At the same time, the game will also officially go free-to-play on all platforms.
Both announcements were announced during the Naraka Fest livestream, celebrating the game’s second anniversary and the 20 million player milestone. The move to F2P will also add cross-platform play across all devices, including the new version of PlayStation 5.
All players who have spent money to purchase Naraka: Bladepoint will receive the same amount of in-game gold as the version they own. Xbox Game Pass owners will be automatically upgraded to the Ultimate Edition. Naraka Fest also revealed many new features that will appear in the coming months, namely:
12v12 PvP mode where players have to occupy certain areas of the map to earn points
A new weapon that combines spear and dagger. Players using Dual Halberds can stab forward, swing sideways, and sometimes block their opponent’s weapon.
Tessa is a 1000 year old fox who can enchant and capture the souls of enemies.
Naraka: Bladepoint is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The PlayStation 5 version and the transition to F2P will begin on July 13.
