Bandai Namco has unveiled a new open-world anime MMORPG called Blue Protocol, developed in collaboration with Amazon Games. Blue Protocol will launch in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Blue Protocol will take players “on a heroic journey in Regnas, a world on the brink of destruction after millennia of conflict and technological abuse.” With a familiar story: Players must unite and exploit the mysterious light called Flux to defeat dangerous enemies.
Players can fully customize their character, choosing from one of five classes, including Blade Warden, Twin Striker, Keen Strider, Spell Weaver, and Foe Breaker. Additionally, players will be able to summon mystical creatures called Echoes, which possess powerful attacks and memories that must be unlocked on the journey to save the world. Blue Protocol will also feature raids and clones, allowing up to 30 players to participate in some cases. Players can also choose to be a “lone wolf” and summon Echoes to help.
