From PS to Xbox to slots, there is virtually no gaming platform nowadays where you cannot find a good boxing game.
The PS4 has been the home of some fine boxing games over the years, including Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions, which was also brought out on Xbox. PS5, meanwhile, did a wonderful take on the Tokyo Olympics, which has more of a modern Nintendo Wii feel about. The same even applies in the digital casinos sphere, where fans can now play Rocky, one of the best new online slots developed by Playtech, and join Rocky Balboa as he takes on Apollo Creed.
Undisputed is the latest in a series of polished boxing games that is making its way over to consoles. Having gone through the beta stage of production, fans will be waiting for its grand reveal.
As always, you can expect some bone-jarring action inside the ring as well as stunning graphics and gameplay to make this an appealing title.
But when will the game be released for PS4? Who stars in it? And how much will it cost? All this and more will be contained in our Undisputed preview.
When will the game be released for PS4/PS5?
Although Undisputed enjoyed an early release on Steam at the end of last month, it is expected to arrive on PS4, PS5, and Xbox. However, as of yet, no official release date has been earmarked, so it could take a few months.
There has also been no confirmation that Undisputed will be released on all major gaming platforms simultaneously. Nevertheless, the early release on Steam will give fans an idea of what to expect when it is released on PS4, PS5 et al.
What is the premise of the game?
Undisputed’s developers have worked tirelessly to produce what they consider to be the most authentic boxing game to date. Therefore, it will be more advanced than the Creed franchise, with more of an emphasis on attacking shots.
There will be a multiplayer mode, but the game is intended to cover the sport’s biggest legends stars past and present competing across the major divisions from heavyweight down to featherweight. You can also expect to find hi-tech scanning technology for detailed boxer models.
Who stars in the game?
The game is expected to feature over 200 licensed boxers from past and present, and there will be many familiar faces, such as Deontay Wilder, Frank Bruno, and Tyson Fury. As far as female boxers are concerned, you can expect to find the likes of Natasha Jonas and Jessica McCaskill featuring. This is a marked improvement from the 2011 title Fight Night Champion, where female boxers were omitted from the game.
How much will the game cost?
PS4 prices have yet to be announced for Undisputed, however, on PC, it costs $29.99. So, you will have to stay tuned to see what the official cost is for this game on consoles.
For those who purchased the game on early access through Steam, you may have to fork out more money later when the game hits the PS4 and other consoles.
