By stealing $600 million worth of cryptocurrency, the hacker is always invited to be the top security advisor

Poly Network, a decentralized finance project that was hacked last week, helped hackers steal some tokens worth up to $600 million. The hacker is known to have exploited a flaw in the Poly Network code and transferred this money to his electronic wallet. This is considered the biggest cryptocurrency theft of all time (surpassing the $534.8 million theft from the Japanese exchange Coincheck in 2018).

The hacker then returned most of the money to the Poly Network and was left with only $33 million. But more than $200 million of the fund is currently locked in a secure account and only hackers have access to it. Poly Network has asked the hacker Mr.White Hat to provide him with the password in order to recover the money from him.

The organization promises to reward Mr. White Hat $500,000 so that the hackers will return the full amount. Not only that, this organization also wants to invite Mr. White Hat to be their top security adviser:

“Thank you and encourage Mr. As White Hat continues to advance blockchain with the Poly Network, we cordially invite you to become Poly Network’s Principal Security Advisor.”

Mister. White Hat turned down the $500,000 bonus and offered to use this money to reward hackers who found other Poly Network security holes, but the organization still decided to donate money to Mr. White Hat to express his gratitude. . Poly Network also has no intention of prosecuting Mr. White Hat. Mr. White Hat is known to be a white hat hacker who specializes in finding vulnerabilities in business and organization systems to help them prevent malicious attacks.
