After the official announcement last week, yesterday during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live 2021, Activision revealed the gameplay of Call of Duty: Vanguard for the first time. This 10 minute demo revolves primarily around the Stalingrad mission.
The mission stars Polina Petrova, a Soviet Red Army sniper who is also one of the four playable characters in Vanguard. At the beginning of the trailer, Polina wakes up in a place that looks like an old apartment building, kills a German soldier, steals his gun, and runs off. Along the way, Polina finds a sniper rifle, her trademark weapon, and begins to target the German soldiers invading Stalingrad.
After the chaotic fighting, Polina was knocked unconscious with a rifle butt, the demonstration goes back to an hour ago, when the city of Stalingrad began to be attacked by German artillery and turned it into rubble, German planes freely fired bullets in the street The trailer ends with Polina trying to escape from the dilapidated building and is knocked unconscious, which is what we saw earlier in the video.
This demo is just one of the many levels and battlegrounds in Call of Duty: Vanguard. In addition to the Eastern Front, the game will also take players to the Western, North African, and Pacific Fronts. In addition to the campaign mode, Vanguard will also integrate Warzone and the zombies mode developed by Treyarch. The game is scheduled to launch on November 5 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
