Developer Infinity Ward has finally confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will release on November 16 of this year. The game will be released for free on PC via Steam or BattleNet, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
The Warzone 2 release date was announced during the Call of Duty Next keynote, along with plenty of details about the game. Also, other noteworthy information is that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released next month. The Call of Duty Next showcase revealed a new Warzone 2 map called Al Mazrah and several locations that players will be able to explore, including the airport area of player-favorite map: Famous Terminal.

Infinity Ward also confirmed that Warzone 2 will include a short-range chat feature, so if you’re planning to take down an opponent, players should pay attention to their chat window. A new Tarkov-inspired mode called DMZ will also appear in Warzone 2. In the DMZ, players must infiltrate Al Mazrah, complete objectives while searching for dangerous AI opponents. The DMZ will be all over the map and players are encouraged to experiment with different styles of play, whether direct or stealthy.
