Soul enthusiasts often opt for swords and magic over guns, but Remnant 2 follows on from its predecessor by allowing players to take down all sorts of gruesome creatures in a soul-like world. And it seems that a lot of people are quite enjoying what Remnant 2 brings.
At the moment, Remnant 2 has 80 points on Metacritic, a good start for a game that doesn’t follow all the rules of the familiar formula. The critics are responding quite well to the combination of the two genres, Souls-like and looter-shooter, although this does not mean that everyone is satisfied with the game.
Remnant 2 is exactly what gamers expect from the sequel, how the concept content of the first part is expanded and improved upon. While the gameplay isn’t impressive, the key gameplay loop relies on satisfying battles, the ever-expanding skill and skill tree, as well as the randomness of the replay process that prevents players from getting stuck in a spiral.
The Remnant sequel not only reinvented the Souls genre as a co-op shooter, it successfully incorporated the concept in almost every way, including many things the first part couldn’t do. Remnant 2 is great, but it falls short due to some design choices. The game has beautiful and smooth graphics and is one of the best releases of 2023.
