Diablo 4’s open beta period will begin in March. This information was confirmed by Diablo 4 director Joe Shely at IGN Fan Fest. More specifically, the beta version of the game will take place just a few months before the official release of Diablo 4 in June.
The open beta will take place from March 17 to 19 for those who have pre-ordered the game. Other players will have the opportunity to experience the beta from March 24 to 26.
According to Director Shely, the beta has no time limit, players can progress up to level 25 and experience almost all the content from the first chapter of the game. Currently, the development team has not confirmed that the progress of this Beta phase can move to the second phase.
Diablo 4 developers have repeatedly stressed that players will not be able to spend real money to upgrade their characters. While the game still has some types of microtransactions, they won’t be tied to the game following the backlash from the mobile title Diablo Immortal.
Diablo 4 will be released on June 6. Players who pre-order the Ultimate or Deluxe edition will be able to start their adventure on June 2. The game is currently available in three digital versions: Standard ($69.99 USD), Deluxe ($89.99 USD), and Ultimate ($99.99 USD). In addition to the previous Beta access, players who have pre-ordered can also receive a variety of rewards that correspond to each version.
