Competitive Game Modes, Maps, and Settings
Ranked Play is back in Season 03, and it’s better than ever. Get ready to face off against other players in intense 4v4 matches using the same maps, modes, and settings used in the Call of Duty League 2023 ruleset. To ensure a fair playing field, certain weapons, attachments, equipment, perks, field upgrades, and streaks have been restricted based on official CDL Competitive rules. We’ve even updated the restrictions to match the active Call of Duty League rules, like the Cronen Squall Battle Rifle.
Updated Game Modes and Maps
Season 03 introduces some exciting additions to the game modes and maps you love. In CDL Search and Destroy, get ready to battle it out in Al Bagra Fortress, Breenburgh Hotel, El Asilo, Embassy, and Mercado Las Almas. If Hardpoint is more your style, you’ll be thrilled to know that Al Bagra Fortress, Breenburgh Hotel, Embassy, Mercado Las Almas, and Zarqwa Hydroelectric are now available. And in CDL Control, prepare yourself for intense action in Breenburgh Hotel, El Asilo, and Himmelmatt Expo.
Test Your Skills with Skill Rating (SR)
In Season 03, we’ve introduced Skill Rating (SR) to help you track your progress and compete against players of similar skill levels. All new Ranked Play players will begin their journey in Bronze I with 0 SR. As you win matches, your SR will increase, while losses will cause it to decrease. Both individual and team performance will impact your SR gains or losses per match. The higher the Skill Division, the more team performance will influence your SR, ensuring that all winning playstyles are rewarded consistently. By reaching SR milestones, such as Silver at 900 SR or Iridescent at 10,000 SR, you can progress through the eight Skill Divisions.
Ranks & Rewards
Ranked Play now offers a rewarding experience like never before. As you climb the ranks, you’ll unlock a variety of valuable rewards that can be used in both Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty®: Warzone™️ 2.0. Every five ranks, you’ll not only progress your rank icon but also unlock a set of rank rewards. From a Ranked Competitor Skin to weapon blueprints, charms, and emblems, there’s something special waiting for you at each milestone. Make your way to Rank 50, and you’ll earn the prestigious Ranked Veteran Emblem and Skin.
Season 03 Rewards
On top of the rank rewards, each Ranked Play Season brings exclusive limited-time rewards. In Season 03, you have the chance to earn exciting rewards like the ‘Season 03 Competitor’ Weapon Sticker, Pro Issue TAQ-56 Weapon Blueprint, ‘I’m That Dawg’ Weapon Charm, and much more. These rewards are only available during Season 03, so make sure to give it your all and collect them all.
Competitive Integrity Features
To ensure a fair and competitive environment, we’ve implemented several features. Players who disconnect or quit matches will receive SR penalties and temporary suspensions. If a player disconnects in the middle of a match, their team members outside of their party will not lose any SR. If a player quits before the start of a match, the match will be canceled, and the remaining players will be returned to the main menu. Friendly Fire is enabled in Ranked Play, following CDL rules, and repeated instances of Friendly Fire will result in penalties and suspensions. We’ve also introduced demotion protection to give players a fair chance to adjust to their new Skill Divisions.
Bug Fixes
We’ve addressed some common issues in this update. Incorrect messaging when a player disconnects from the other team at the beginning of a match has been fixed. Additionally, the penalty messaging for players receiving their first suspension has been adjusted for accuracy.
