EA Sports FC 24 brings female players to Ultimate Team for the first time

EA Sports has revealed a bunch of new details for EA Sports FC 24, the first game to launch under the soccer franchise’s new name in a long time. In addition to the new moniker, players will also experience their favorite modes in new ways, with female players appearing in Ultimate Team.

During the official live stream of EA Sports FC 24, the host confirmed that players will be able to team up with male and female soccer stars, both current and former players, to stand on the pitch at the same time.

The livestream also showcased EA Sports FC 24’s technical innovations, including new HyperMotion V technology, which uses data from 180 teams to bring real-life motion to the game. Notably, the Nintendo Switch version will run on the same Frostbite technology as the other platforms, as opposed to the “old version” of years past.

EA Sports FC 24 will feature more than 700 teams from around the world, including teams from the English Premier League, Germany’s Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, and Spain’s La Liga. The live broadcast also confirmed a new agreement between EA Sports and UEFA, under which players can participate in the Champions League, the Women’s Champions League, the Europa League and the Super Cup.

EA Sports FC 24 will launch on September 29 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players who purchase the Ultimate Edition will get early access starting on September 22.
