The 11-bit studio has announced Frostpunk 2, the sequel to the 2018 critically acclaimed strategy title. Frostpunk 2 is in development for PC and takes place 30 years after the events of the main game.
It remains a cold and inhospitable world as oil replaces coal as the fuel that sustains the city. However, not everyone seems to agree with this change, so players will encounter resistance when deciding to leave coal behind to look for oil.
11-bit promises an ambitious game, one that will offer more meaningful options, greater scale, and higher production value. The sequel is being developed by a team of 70 people and most of them were involved in the production of the first game.
Frostpunk 2 doesn’t have a specific release date yet, but readers can find more information about the game here.
