Game Attack On Titan Fan made a fever with more than 10 million downloads

So far, many official and fan-made games of Attack on Titan have appeared on the market, but only the fan game nicknamed Swammy has been well received by the AOT community. This project started as an experiment to recreate the iconic omnidirectional mobility device from the anime, then turned into a multi-year venture with millions of downloads and the upcoming release of Unreal Engine 5.

The creator of the project, Swammy, has posted a short video explaining the entire history of the AOT Fan Game. The game came out in early 2021 and was released on Game Jolt after receiving many requests from the fan community. Initially, the game was almost just a tech demo, with no Titans appearing, players could only explore the city with 3D equipment. But then, thanks to the addition of Titans, a new open world map, multiplayer functionality thanks to Epic’s online service, and the f2p element, Swammy’s AOT has attracted millions of downloads from all over the world.

After the previous success, the author of the game decided to update the project with the reboot version. The preview videos for the upcoming AOT Fan Game reboot were made on Unreal Engine 5 for PC. The game will be significantly improved in terms of animation, graphics, weather effects and many other details.

The UE5 version of AOT Fan Game will be released in early 2023. If you want to support AOT Fan Game, readers can play Mecha Attack after Swammy brings the game to iOS and Android. This game has many mobile mechanics similar to AOT Fan Game.
