Meta Launches New VR Gaming Subscription Service

Virtual reality fans got some good news yesterday. Meta has announced and launched Meta Quest+, a new subscription that promises access to the best titles on the virtual reality platform. However, Meta Quest+ is not exactly the same service as Game Pass or PlayStation Plus; instead, the service will give subscribers access to two “handpicked VR games” per month from a selection of the biggest hits, potential gems, and classic Quest Dictionary.

Quest 2 and Quest Pro users can subscribe to the Meta Quest+ service for £7.99/$7.99 USD per month or £59.99/$59.99 per year (save over 37%). Alternatively, users can experience the first month for £1/$1 when they sign up before July 31.

The first two games that users got a chance to experience were Cloudhead Games’ FPS rhythm game Pistol Whip and Arvore Immersive Experiences’ Pixel Ripped 1995 adventure game. Titles coming to the service in August are the “unique immersive VR experiences” Walkabout Mini Golf from developer Mighty Coconut and Mothergunship: Forge from Terrible Posture Games.

Users can experience the games listed above and all future games that will be available on Meta Quest+ for the duration of the subscription service (subscription can be canceled at any time) and access again when the subscription is renewed later.
