Hogwarts Legacy player numbers have reached new heights after the official release of the PC version of the game on Steam. Despite glitches like crashes and frame rate stutters, Witches’ Adventure was the second most played title on Steam over the two-day weekend, beating out games like Dota 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Apex Legends, and Grand Theft Auto. The number of Hogwarts Legacy players on Steam peaked at 807,112 concurrent players on February 12. This number puts Hogwarts Legacy ahead of free-to-play games like Dota 2 (653,083), PUBG: Battlegrounds (452,934), and Apex Legends (441,884). though the adventure in the wizarding world still lags behind Valve’s CS:GO FPS game with 1,320,219 players online at a time.

This number also makes Hogwarts Legacy eighth in the ranking of the most played games of all time on Steam, behind games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Goose Goose Duck. However, that wasn’t enough to help Hogwarts Legacy crush Amazon Games MMORPGs New World and Lost Ark, or RPG legends like Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077.
