Mortal Kombat: Onslaught - Black Dragon is about to have a strategy RPG on mobile

Warner Bros. Games announced Mortal Kombat: Onslaught, the new mobile game in the legendary fighting game series. The game is developed by NetherRealm Studios and will be released in 2023.

Onslaught is the first mobile-only cinematic experience in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Players must create their team of warriors from a huge roster of characters and unleash the power of gladiators in real-time battles to stop the dangerous threat that is slowly invading and wreaking havoc on the worlds.

The announcement to introduce the new mobile title coincides with Mortal Kombat’s 30th anniversary this month. The franchise launched in 1992 and has sold 72 million games, of which the latest installment in the series, Mortal Kombat 11, has grossed 12 million copies. The latest mobile game in the series, Mortal Kombat Mobile, which was released for free in 2015, has garnered over 150 million installs.
