News of an animated film based on Injustice: Gods Among Us being produced spread among fans when they discovered hidden details in the blu-ray versions of many other DC cartoons. Recently, the creative director of the studio behind Injustice and Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon, officially announced the project, revealing the artwork and release date on October 19.
Injustice is based on the first game in the series and the popular comic book version by author Tom Taylor. Comic book fans certainly won’t want the movie to change too much from the original. The voice cast for Injustice includes Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, Anson Mount as Batman, Justin Hartley as Superman, and Kevin Pollak as the Joker. Some of the veteran voice actors who have also joined Injustice: Gods Among Us include Laura Bailey as Lois Lane, Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master, and Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom.
