Myth of Empires is the new historically themed multiplayer sandbox game that has just arrived on Steam as Early Access, and the game has seen a bit of success on Valve’s platform. A few weeks after its release on November 18, the title entered the top 10 best-selling games on Steam for the fourth week of November.
According to SteamDB, the platform’s ranking of the best-selling games is compiled every Sunday. Last week’s results were a bit of a surprise, with Farming Simulator 22 taking the top spot, beating out the blockbuster Battlefield 2042. Myth of Empires was ranked 10th, behind FIFA 22.
Myth of Empires is developed by China-based studio Angela Game, the father of the free real-time strategy game Iron Conflict. This sandbox game is set in a vast historical world, where players must strive to survive and beat the numbers to become heroes. Players must overcome the hostile environment, build the motherland, raise the army, and defeat the enemy on the battlefield.
Much of the gameplay in Myth of Empires revolves around warfare, with players taking control of everything from crafting armor to taming horses to summoning their own army to fight. Players will manage territories, grow and harvest crops, build settlements, and expand territories in the most appropriate way.
