Persona 5 Tactica – Light the flames of revolution!

Today, SEGA announced the latest information on ATLUS’ new tactical RPG Persona 5 Tactica, including details on the main characters and combat system. Persona 5 Tactica is scheduled to release on November 17, 2023 on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.

Four characters, including Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Nijima, Futaba Sakura, and Haru Okumura, and new character illustrations have been revealed. In-game combat elements will also be introduced, such as character swapping, attacks from higher ground, ever-changing enemy types and difficulty.

In addition, the second episode of Nyahoo News, the program that provides the latest information on Persona 5 Tactica, was released a few days ago. This video provides detailed information about the Realms; the tyrant Maria; Three characters appear in the game, including Toshiro Kasukabe, and the basic things players need to know when fighting.

Yusuke realizes this after meeting the Phantom Thieves and witnessing the truth in the Metaverse. With the Newly Awakened Persona ability, Yusuke joins the Phantom Thieves. Although Yusuke appears at first glance to be a handsome and well-mannered young man, Yusuke’s passion for the arts often leads him to make eccentric comments, leaving those around him baffled.

Makoto is a third-year student at Shujin Academy. Under the influence of his strict older sister, he committed himself to the life of an exemplary student. After being used as a tool for bad guys, he finally breaks out of his shell, awakens his Persona abilities, and joins the Phantom Thieves. As the student council president, Makoto has a natural gift for being a leader in the organization. She knocks down enemies with her fists in battles. Even Ryuji is afraid of Makoto’s Fist of Justice.

Futaba is a genius hacker who made waves in the world. He became a recluse after the villain made Futaba believe that she was the one who caused the death of her mother. This lifestyle makes her afraid of people and she has difficulty communicating. After regaining her true memories, she awakens the Persona ability. Futaba acts as a navigator in the Phantom Thieves, supporting the group from behind.

Haru is the heir to Okumura Foods, a large food service company. In the past, her father forced her into a politically arranged marriage and Haru had to live with her wishes every day. After awakening her Persona ability, she has the courage to break free from her father’s shackles. Her father later died, but Haru overcame the pain and kept fighting. Haru often calls herself the “beauty thief”.

2. Combat system​

During your turn, you can switch between the three team characters on the battlefield at any time with the touch of a button. You can move the characters and rotate them freely before taking an action. Take advantage of this freedom to plan your moves carefully.

Tips: Switching between controlled characters is an important tool in setting up a spectacular Triple Threat. By constantly rotating your team members, you can set a larger attack range and hit more enemies!

In this game, high positions are advantageous. If there are enemies overhead, you can get in close and shoot them down! If you hit them against a character on the ground, your ally can perform a Series Attack, dealing additional damage and taking one more action.

Before you take down an enemy, place an ally near where it will land! The “FOLLOW” dialog will appear when it is possible for the player to be able to perform a serial attack!

In addition to the standard Musketeer, a large number of Legionnaires will appear in the game, such as the Grenadier and the Little Drummer.

By performing a Baton Pass, you can swap a character on the battlefield with a reserve character. This also applies to fallen allies! Summon reinforcements and keep going! Additionally, Persona 5 Tactica has five difficulty levels. If you can’t win or your battles get boring, try changing the difficulty!

If an ally’s HP runs out, you can do a Baton Pass to replace them with a reserve character. This can be done until you run out of Baton Pass.​
