The new Project Eve trailer appears on PlayStation Showcase, along with a series of blockbuster introductory videos including Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Alan Wake Remastered, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Uncharted Legacy of Thieves. Project Eve was first announced in 2019 and developer SHIFT UP Corporation said that the game will have a PC version.
At first glance, Project Eve is an action RPG with a style quite similar to Bayonetta or Nier. In the trailer, the protagonist Eve is constantly moving, twisting and turning as she fights a giant monster. The monsters in Project Eve are quite interestingly designed. They have a strange appearance, are equipped with saw blades, and possess innumerable eyes.
Gameplay-wise, director Kim Hyung Tae shared on the PlayStation Blog that the character Eve “will gain Beta Gauge (BG) by parrying and dodging enemy attacks while fighting.” Players can use BG to learn abilities like super armor penetration, quick area attacks, breaking enemy combos, and more. BG is also used to activate summoner spells and powerful attacks like a fatal stab. Apart from the gameplay, the developer also focuses on the trendy features. Players can equip a variety of fancy outfits for the character Eve.
