Naraka: Bladepoint creator NetEase Games has revealed a new urban-style open world action RPG called Project: Mugen. This game looks like the anime version of the Grand Theft Auto series developed by Rockstar Games. NetEase has been expanding its investment in the games industry in recent years, acquiring several different studios to develop games, and it seems that some of these studios’ products are ready to go public.
NetEase Games announced in early August that one of the company’s newer game studios, Naked Rain, will be coming up with new information about an upcoming game in the near future. It is an open world RPG that takes place in an urban environment. Now, fans have first seen this new game with gameplay and various launch platforms.
The first image of Project: Mugen shows the three girls looking out over a crowded city where the events of this open-world game take place. Various in-game GIFs reveal that players will have the opportunity to drive around the city, exploring the open world in Project: Mugen using cars and motorcycles, similar to the vehicles in Grand Theft Auto.
The new game also seems to have an action RPG element, where the character can attack enemies with a unique set of weapons. Players can also ride the train in the city. Many fans were impressed with the graphics of Project: Mugen, the anime style that makes this open world game stand out. Project: Mugen is expected to launch on PS5, PC, and mobile devices, with support for iOS and Android devices. Other information such as the gameplay video and the official title of the game will be presented in the coming days at Gamescom 2023.
