Sons of The Forest sells 2 million copies in the first 24 hours of Early Access

Sons of The Forest sold over 2 million copies in the first 24 hours after its Early Access release. This information was revealed by the developer Endnight Games itself: “Thank you to everyone who joined us on our early access journey to ‘Sons Of The Forest’. The game sold more than 2 million copies in the first 24 hours and We’re excited about what we’re bringing to players in the coming weeks.”

According to SteamDB, the survival game has entered the list of the 20 titles with the highest number of concurrent players of all time on Steam. And last night, Sons of Forest was the fifth most played game on Valve’s platform, beating out blockbusters like Hogwarts Legacy and Warzone 2.0.

Sons of The Forest sends players on a quest to find a missing billionaire on a remote island, a hell filled with cannibals. Players must craft, build and fight to survive, alone or with friends, in this terrifying open world survival horror sim. The game is expected to be in Early Access for about 6-8 months, but according to the developers this could change: “We will exit Early Access when we are sure that the game is in the best version available.”

The Forest, the prequel to Sons of The Forest, is still very popular and attracts a large following thanks to its popular YouTube streamers and content creators. Endnight Games has yet to confirm the release of Sons of the Forest on other platforms. The Forest originally released for PC in April 2018 before coming to PlayStation 4 in November.
