Starfield Direct shows almost an hour of gameplay of the most anticipated role-playing title of 2023

The Starfield Direct event provided a glimpse into the various gameplay mechanics of a whole new universe since Fallout. Executive producer Todd Howard said that Starfield will feature more than 1,000 worlds, noting that players can explore many planets in the game.

According to Bethesda, the game also features a completely new animation system. Players can experience the game in third or first person, an option that has appeared in most Bethesda games. Character creation is also introduced with a new Trait system. Traits will bring advantages and disadvantages to the player. Starfield has five different skill trees and each level in each tree will have four levels. Some of these abilities include the ability to use jetpacks.

As with many of Bethesda’s titles, players can complete quests in a variety of ways. For example, take advantage of voice verification to traverse an area, sneak around the area, or take a more direct approach than run and gun.

The game’s spaceports will offer a variety of customization and upgrade options just for the area for the player’s ship. Starfield Direct also features NPCs called Followers. These people will appear on the player’s ship and can be assigned to specific planets. They also come with unique missions and have a romance option, players will be able to attack enemy ships, board and capture them. The player can also find random NPCs in space.

In most areas, players can establish outposts. These outposts can also be homes for some companions. Weapons in Starfield are also fully customizable. Different planets in the game will have different levels of severity and will have a certain effect on the character. On a planet with low gravity, the player will be pushed backwards when using ballistic weapons.
