Over the weekend, the developers of Dying Light 2 sparked a huge debate online by claiming that it will take players 500 hours to break the game. This must be great news for some gamers, but for those planning to play more than one game this year, it looks like a threat. Some players even said that they will cancel the pre-order for Dying Light 2. After 2 days of the announcement, Techland corrected that it will only take people about 20 hours to complete Dying Light 2.
According to Techland, 20 hours is the time needed to complete the main plot. Players will need 80 hours to complete the main story and all side quests. 500 hours is the time it takes to complete the entire game, including all main and side quests, unlocking endings, reaching all locations on the map, listening to all dialogue, and not missing any collectibles.
“Dying Light 2: Stay Human is designed for players with different playstyles and preferences to explore the world in their own way that works best for them,” the developer said. Dying Light 2 will arrive on February 4, 2022.
