Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 returns with new release date and developer

Paradox Interactive has announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is back in development with input from The Chinese Room developers. The news was announced at PAX West and also confirmed that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will reveal gameplay in January 2024 and a specific release date next fall.

Bloodlines 2 is the sequel to the 2004 “cult classic” game, and Paradox has revealed what awaits players in this bloody adventure. Bloodlines 2 takes players to the dark lands of Seattle, where vampires fight for survival and dominance. Transforming into an ancient vampire, players will meet fascinating characters, navigate complex political relationships, stalk their prey on the streets, and engage in fierce battles. During the experience, players must always pay attention to their surroundings if they can break the Masquerade, the law of absolute secrecy that keeps vampire society hidden from humanity.

Bloodlines 2 first reappeared in June 2023 after a long hiatus in production. In 2021, Paradox Interactive announced that Hardsuit Labs, the developer of Part 1, will no longer be working on the Bloodlines 2 project. In addition to announcing that more information about the game will be revealed this month, Paradox has also pledged to issue refunds to those who reserve any version of the game.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was scheduled to release in the first quarter of 2020, but development issues began to surface after that. Hopefully, the new Paradox announcement means development of the game is back on track.
