What is Wayfinder?

Wayfinder is a character-based, action-packed MMO that allows players to choose from a variety of characters, each with their own unique playstyle and abilities. Wayfinder Founders Packs

To get early access to Wayfinder, you’ll need to purchase one of the founders packs. There are four tiers available, ranging from the Base Pack at $19.99 to the Exalted Pack at $149.99. Combat

Wayfinder offers a combat experience that falls somewhere between Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, and Devil May Cry. The gameplay is more akin to a 3rd person action game than a traditional MMO, with no tab targeting or hot bar. Each character feels distinct and offers a different playstyle. You can mix and match weapons and playstyles to suit your preferred approach, whether you prefer a slower, methodical approach or a fast-paced, action-packed style. The choice is yours!

Wayfinders

In Wayfinder, you have the opportunity to play as various characters known as Wayfinders. Each Wayfinder is fully voice-acted and has a unique backstory that unfolds both inside and outside the game. Switch between characters seamlessly and unlock account-wide bonuses and mastery points by playing multiple Wayfinders. Customize your character’s appearance and playstyle by choosing weapons, mods, and talents. Acquire Wayfinders through crafting or outright purchase and unlock additional power through Awakening.

Gameplay

Wayfinder takes place in a world overtaken by the Gloom, where chaos reigns. To push back against the Gloom’s devastating spread, you’ll venture into areas called Lost Zones on Expeditions. These Lost Zones are procedurally generated dungeons, offering endless challenges and unique experiences. Explore the open world, engage in dungeons and socialize in towns. Customize your own apartment and unlock unique powers through artifacts.

Progression in Wayfinder

Progress in Wayfinder is achieved through leveling up your Wayfinders, weapons, applying echoes, and utilizing affinities. Earn experience by taking down monsters and completing quests to level up your Wayfinder, increasing your power rating and earning additional echo slots. Level up your weapons independently, unlocking new abilities and increasing their power. Use affinity points to upgrade affinities, which boost the power of your equipment. Echoes are items obtained by defeating monsters, which can be slotted into your Wayfinder, weapons, or accessories to enhance specific attributes and increase your power rating.

PvP, Group, and Solo Play

Wayfinder primarily focuses on PvE gameplay, but the developers are open to exploring PvP options in the future. You can play Wayfinder solo, but challenging content will require group play. The group size is set to 3, allowing for clear roles and easier readability. However, certain end-game content may expand the group size. Seasonal updates will introduce new stories, characters, cosmetics, and events, with a new season expected every three months. Wayfinder also offers player housing, with apartments that can be customized and expanded upon in future updates.
